I'm thankful the price of gas has gone down. Today I paid $1.99/gal.
I'm thankful we've had several days of beautiful weather, for our son's wonderful aide at school, for my husband's job, and for my parents, sisters, and brothers.
I'm thankful I survived last Friday's IEP meeting, my migraine headache ended, and the Crew won last night.
Amen!!!! ME TOO!!! : )
ReplyDeleteLOVE your bumper sticker - that's awesome!!! Has anybody ever said anything to you about it?? : )
I need to do this, too, I guess.
ReplyDeleteWell, Shawnda, we've had three responses that I know of. One guy asked where we got it, and we gave him one. (We had a couple in the car.)
ReplyDeleteOne mother of a special needs child read it and kind of gulped, as if she thought it was somewhat confrontational.
Then we were out at a very small town built around a radical leftist college, where everyone was sporting anti-war, Kerry, and environment slogans.
Two young college students paused to read it, then one said it was so true. I think he might have been referring to Iraqi children dying for our desire for more oil, given the context.
A pro-choice mother on a DS newsgroup was very offended when I posted it.

Martin,
I find it's a good mental health discipline, at the least. It makes me more conscious of the grace I live by/within. I'm glad Rebecca started the tradition. It's a good lead-in to Thanksgiving.
